Group Internal Auditor

About the role

You will provide independent assurance that helps Weir manage risk, strengthen controls and improve business performance across a global organisation. The position offers exposure to a wide range of processes, functions and locations, working with finance, operations, supply chain and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit testing aligned with approved scope and Group Internal Audit methodology, including walkthroughs, sample testing, documentation and analysis.
• Support audit planning by gathering background information, reviewing prior results, performing preliminary risk assessments and preparing testing approaches.
• Monitor and verify implementation of agreed management actions, reviewing evidence to ensure risks are addressed and recommendations closed.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Weir’s global operations to understand processes, gather evidence and support efficient audit delivery.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero‑harm behaviours and contribute to a world‑class safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 2–5 years of internal or external audit experience.
• Curious mindset with confidence to ask thoughtful questions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
