Group Parts Manager

About the role

The Group Parts Manager will oversee the parts operations of an expanding automotive dealer group across Sussex and Hampshire. Based in Worthing, the role involves regular travel to multiple franchised sites, ensuring commercial performance, stock accuracy and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Parts Managers, Supervisors and Advisors at each dealership.
• Drive profitable growth in workshop, retail and trade parts sales.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase parts penetration and after‑sales revenue.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets and financial results for all locations.
• Improve stock turn, inventory accuracy and reduce obsolescence.
• Ensure purchasing, replenishment and stock‑control processes are followed.
• Collaborate with Aftersales, Service and General Managers to boost overall performance.
• Maintain manufacturer standards, compliance and best‑practice operations.
• Analyse data to identify profitability and efficiency opportunities.
• Support recruitment, coaching, succession planning and performance management within the parts function.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Parts Manager, Senior Parts Manager or Group Parts Manager in a franchised automotive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites or a large‑scale parts operation.
• Strong commercial awareness with a record of improving profitability.
• Excellent understanding of inventory management, stock reconciliation and manufacturer programmes.
• Leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop teams.
• Comfortable analysing KPIs, departmental accounts and management information.
