Group Procurement Buyer

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Group Procurement Buyer to join our Indirect Procurement team at our Birmingham head office. You will support the procurement of IT, HR and factory services, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Manager/Head of Procurement in preparing RFI, RFQ and ITT documentation.
• Source new suppliers and materials for indirect categories.
• Negotiate contracts and supplier agreements.
• Implement category plans and monitor supplier performance.
• Lead tenders from inception to award, including evaluation and reporting.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably with contract negotiations and tender management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers, develop relationships and manage contracts.
• Ambitious, client‑facing attitude and a desire to progress within a large food manufacturing business.
• MCIPS qualification or equivalent is a plus, but not essential.
