Group Tax Manager

About the role

You will join a market‑leading UK retail and e‑commerce organisation as a Group Tax Manager, working within a dynamic in‑house tax function. The role offers broad exposure to UK tax compliance, reporting and advisory in a fast‑moving commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare UK corporation tax computations, returns and supporting analysis.
• Support quarterly instalment calculations, tax forecasting and month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end tax reporting.
• Work closely with auditors, provide tax disclosures and maintain strong tax governance, including SAO compliance.
• Respond to HMRC queries and information requests, and advise on business issues such as expense treatment and withholding tax.
• Assist with transfer‑pricing data, documentation and technical research for tax planning initiatives.
• Identify and implement improvements to tax processes, controls and tax‑technology usage.

Required profile

• Recognised tax or accounting qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in UK corporate tax, either in industry or practice.
• Solid understanding of UK corporation tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting GAAP and audit processes.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and collaborative working style.
• Proactive mindset with interest in process improvement and tax technology.
