Groupage Forklift Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Groupage Forklift Driver to join a busy freight forwarding and logistics operation in West Thurrock, Essex. You will work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, handling groupage, palletised and loose freight safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload trailers according to loading plans and weight distribution.
• Check incoming and outgoing freight against delivery notes and report any discrepancies.
• Measure, weigh, label and prepare freight for dispatch.
• Consolidate and segregate groupage freight for onward distribution.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and complete required paperwork.
• Support general warehouse duties and uphold health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a forklift driver in freight forwarding, logistics or a warehouse setting.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment and meet collection/delivery deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, team‑focused attitude.
