GRTN Project Lead – 2‑Year Fixed‑Term Secondment

About the role

The GRTN Project Lead will head a two‑year, fixed‑term initiative aimed at improving health engagement, access, and outcomes for Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and Nomadic communities across Wiltshire. Working closely with families, local health partners and the Public Health Network Services (PHNS), the role focuses on reducing health inequalities for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of culturally‑sensitive approaches to the Healthy Child Programme for GRTN families.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with GRTN communities and strengthen links with PHNS.
• Co‑produce resources and service models that improve equitable access to health services.
• Monitor progress against the NHS Core20PLUS5 framework and report on health‑outcome improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with wider health‑inclusion strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading service‑improvement projects within health or community settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse, often hard‑to‑reach populations.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to reducing health inequalities and promoting inclusive care.

Required skills

• Knowledge of public health frameworks, particularly NHS Core20PLUS5.
