Guest Services Host

About the role

We are looking for a professional and trustworthy Guest Services Host to join our team at The Corn Exchange. In this fast‑paced environment you will be the first point of contact for visitors, creating a warm and lasting first impression.

Key responsibilities

• Greet incoming and departing guests with a genuine smile, eye contact and, where possible, escort them to their destination.
• Provide accurate information about local attractions, directions and facilities.
• Answer incoming calls and supply appropriate information.
• Manage cash float and handle transactions responsibly.
• Build relationships with guests, colleagues and brand partners, anticipating their needs.
• Maintain safety by following crisis and emergency procedures.
• Uphold personal hygiene and professional grooming standards at all times.
• Facilitate inter‑departmental communication to improve guest satisfaction.
• Deliver on KPI targets and adhere to GDPR data‑protection protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, event days and bank holidays.
• Strong telephone etiquette and experience handling complaints.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Adaptable to change and new ways of working.
