GWO Instructor

About the role

The GWO Instructor will work on‑site at Dangle Academy’s training centre in Belfast, delivering classroom and practical sessions that meet Global Wind Organisation standards. The role focuses on safety, work at height, rescue techniques and hands‑on supervision of delegates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare training areas and equipment for practical exercises.
• Deliver both theoretical and practical GWO training modules.
• Support learner development and assess participant competence.
• Maintain accurate training records and follow internal procedures.
• Ensure all training is delivered in line with GWO standards and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Practical experience in wind energy, work at height, rescue, rope access or other safety‑critical industrial environments.
• Current or recent GWO training records, or equivalent industry experience.
• Evidence of teaching, training or instructor experience (e.g., train‑the‑trainer, assessor roles).
• Strong communication and coaching abilities with diverse learner groups.
• Understanding of safe systems of work, practical skills coaching and delegate supervision.
• Good organisational and documentation skills, including lesson‑plan adherence.
• Physical fitness suitable for demonstrating work‑at‑height and rescue exercises.
• Availability for ad‑hoc training delivery at the Belfast centre.
