About the role

We are seeking an experienced Haematology Application Specialist to provide expert on‑site support, training and technical assistance for a leading diagnostic solutions provider. The role involves travelling across the UK and Ireland to install, commission and optimise haematology laboratory instrumentation, ensuring customers achieve high performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, commission and verify performance of haematology analysers at client sites.
  • Deliver in‑person and remote training sessions, including webinars, to maximise user competency.
  • Respond to technical enquiries by phone, troubleshoot issues and provide follow‑up support.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams on complex investigations, software upgrades and system integrations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, CRM records and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of training programmes and online learning platforms.
  • Adhere to health, safety and environmental guidelines during all field activities.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ laboratory experience, preferably at band 6 level or higher.
  • At least two years in a commercial, customer‑facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of haematology principles and proven problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret scientific documentation and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
