Hairdresser – Part‑time Temporary (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Hairdresser to join Manor Grange Care Home in Edinburgh on a part‑time, temporary basis. You will help residents feel confident and comfortable by providing a full range of hair‑dressing services in a supportive, person‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver washing, cutting, styling and other hair‑dressing services tailored to each resident’s preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming salon area, adhering to strict hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Manage appointments and service schedules independently.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and the wider care team.

Required profile

• Qualified Hairdresser with relevant experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient and respectful approach to vulnerable individuals.
• Good understanding of hygiene and health‑and‑safety practices.
• Reliable, professional attitude and ability to work independently.
