Handyperson – Construction Site (Newton Abbot)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Handyperson to join a busy construction site in Newton Abbot. The role starts as soon as possible and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Fill holes in concrete and perform minor concrete repairs.
• Prepare work areas for other trades, ensuring safety and accessibility.
• Carry out temporary carpentry tasks such as formwork and installing temporary doors.
• Undertake general site duties as directed by site management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of hands‑on handyman experience on construction sites.
• Valid CSCS card (Green or Blue preferred) or a relevant trade card.
• Basic carpentry and bricklaying tool kit.
• BPSS clearance (must be in place or in progress before starting).
• Basic DBS certificate (already held or obtainable before commencement).

• Hourly rate of £19.00 per hour (umbrella) with the potential to rise to £23.00 per hour for highly experienced candidates holding a relevant trade card.
