Hardware & Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware & Embedded Software Engineer to join an innovative wearable‑technology company. You will work at the crossroads of electronics, firmware and data‑driven performance coaching, helping to bring the next generation of smart wearables from concept to market.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded electronic systems for wearable products.
• Select sensors, micro‑controllers, wireless modules, batteries and supporting components.
• Create schematics and support PCB layout and prototype builds.
• Write and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for ARM Cortex‑M platforms.
• Integrate IMUs, pressure sensors, BLE and other sensing technologies.
• Develop real‑time data acquisition, processing and low‑power management.
• Prototype, test and validate hardware, performing debugging and performance optimisation.
• Support manufacturing, certification and production‑readiness activities.
• Collaborate closely with software, mobile and machine‑learning teams to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration.
• Contribute to product road‑maps and long‑term technology strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience developing embedded hardware and software products.
• Strong schematic design and component‑selection skills.
• Hands‑on experience with ARM Cortex‑M micro‑controllers and embedded C/C++ development.
• Familiarity with sensors such as IMUs, pressure sensors, accelerometers or motion‑tracking devices.
• Understanding of low‑power design techniques for battery‑operated devices.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other wireless communications.
• Comfort using laboratory tools like oscilloscopes and logic analysers.
