Head Chef – 2 AA Rosette Pub & Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of an award‑winning 2 AA Rosette dining pub and restaurant with rooms near Letchworth Garden City. The role involves delivering a modern British menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients in a high‑volume, high‑quality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to ensure consistent, high‑standard output.
• Plan, develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect modern British cuisine.
• Manage stock, ordering and waste control to maintain profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Oversee service for both indoor dining and the busy outdoor summer area.
• Train junior staff and maintain a positive, efficient work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a high‑quality, high‑volume kitchen.
• Comfortable working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a passion for food.
• Experience at a 1‑ or 2‑rosette standard is advantageous but not essential.
