Head Chef – Hotel, Bar & Restaurant

About the role

Young's flagship Park Hotel in Teddington is seeking a Head Chef to lead its kitchen team. You will work alongside the General Manager to design seasonal menus that blend British classics with Mediterranean flavours, using fresh, locally‑sourced produce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refresh à‑la‑carte and special menus that showcase seasonal ingredients.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety and hygiene.
• Manage staff rotas, training programmes and performance, fostering a collaborative and motivated team.
• Control food costs and labour expenses to meet gross profit targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers and participate in culinary master‑classes, food trips and chef forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef in a hotel, bar or restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Ability to design creative dishes and specials while maintaining consistency.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities, especially for cost and labour management.
• Commitment to health‑and‑safety standards and staff development.
