Head Chef

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our flagship pub in South East London. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality dishes, driving menu innovation and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refresh seasonal menus that reflect our premium fresh‑food ethos.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
• Manage inventory, ordering and cost control to meet budget targets.
• Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team culture.
• Coordinate with front‑of‑house to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Chef Manager, Kitchen Manager or senior Sous Chef in a busy, premium restaurant or pub.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Passion for high‑quality, fresh ingredients and creative menu development.
