Head Housekeeper

About the role

As Head Housekeeper at Crispin Court Care Home, you will lead the housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents. You will work closely with the Home Manager and other senior staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee all cleaning duties in accordance with the housekeeping job description.
• Prepare and submit orders for cleaning supplies, manage stock levels and stay within budget.
• Monitor and maintain high cleanliness standards across the home.
• Supervise, train and mentor housekeeping and laundry staff, providing instruction on tasks and use of materials.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety and COSHH regulations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in cleaning and laundry management within a public or care setting.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, high‑quality service to residents.
