Head of AI Transformation

About the role

We are representing a regional financial services group that has completed AI pilots and is now reorganising around AI. The role bridges the C‑suite, technologists and a workforce concerned about job impacts, requiring trusted leadership across all three.

Key responsibilities

• Own the group AI transformation roadmap, defining which functions change, in what order, and why.
• Translate board ambition into funded, sequenced programmes with solid business cases.
• Lead role redesign as AI automates tasks, determining new responsibilities and training needs.
• Partner with the CHRO on workforce transition, reskilling pathways, redeployment and difficult decisions.
• Establish AI governance that meets MAS expectations while enabling adoption.
• Drive change adoption: ensure managers use AI tools, teams trust the process, and measure adoption.
• Report progress to the executive team and board in terms of business outcomes rather than model metrics.

Required profile

• 10+ years in transformation, operations or technology leadership, with at least one end‑to‑end AI or major digital transformation delivered.
• Fluency with the current AI stack (LLMs, agents, automation platforms) at a decision‑maker level.
• Proven change‑management experience: adoption, resistance handling, workforce transitions.
• Experience in regulated industries, preferably financial services.
• Ability to challenge senior leaders while supporting anxious teams.
