Head of Analytics (FS)

About the role

The Head of Analytics (FS) will lead a centralised analytics and management information function for a data‑driven organisation undergoing a strategic shift toward insight‑led decision making and AI‑enabled analytics. Based in London and working on‑site three days a week, you will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery to turn data into commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a shared‑service analytics and MI team, setting vision, governance and delivery standards.
• Transform the function from pure reporting to actionable, commercial insight.
• Embed AI tools and automation across analytics workflows.
• Oversee scalable data, reporting and governance foundations, including platform migration.
• Line‑manage decision‑making capability and collaborate with finance, marketing and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in analytics or MI within a commercial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear commercial recommendations.
• Confidence influencing C‑suite and senior stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience delivering analytics projects.

Required skills

• SQL
• Python (preferred)
• Modern data stack technologies
• Business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Exposure to AI/ML tools in analytics contexts
