Head of Bids

About the role

The Head of Bids will lead the pre‑construction team in securing major social housing contracts through competitive tenders and frameworks. Reporting to senior management, you will shape bid strategy, ensure compliance with Decent Homes standards and drive growth for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing bid team to win framework and project opportunities.
• Define and execute bid strategy aligned with social housing regulations.
• Engage with housing associations, local authorities and other stakeholders to capture client priorities.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to produce compelling, value‑focused proposals.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end bid process from concept through to submission.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bid management within social housing, refurbishment or new‑build projects.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector frameworks and housing regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and strategic thinking abilities.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality, compliant and competitive bids.
