Head of Business Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to lead a high‑performing team within a fast‑growing data intelligence consultancy. Based at our London headquarters, you will combine hands‑on selling with strategic leadership to drive new‑business revenue across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of four Business Development professionals, setting and owning individual and team revenue targets.
• Design and execute sector‑based, account‑based sales strategies for utilities, telecoms, retail, financial services, insurance, water and other consumer‑facing markets.
• Collaborate with marketing and senior leadership to shape value propositions and commercial plans.
• Generate sustainable pipeline, acquire enterprise clients and nurture a high‑performance sales culture.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior commercial talent.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding new‑business targets in data intelligence, prospect data, demographic enrichment or data‑quality solutions.
• Experience selling complex, consultative solutions to enterprise customers, preferably within a structured account‑based environment.
• Strong ability to engage C‑suite stakeholders and manage long sales cycles.
• Demonstrated leadership of successful sales teams and commercial strategy development.
