Head of Cyber Security

About the role

We are supporting a major London organisation undergoing a digital and technology transformation. The Head of Cyber Security will shape and lead the cyber security strategy across a large, highly connected environment, ensuring security enables delivery rather than slows it down.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber Security team and define the security roadmap.
• Drive secure‑by‑design and DevSecOps principles across technology teams.
• Oversee incident response, vulnerability management and security operations.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders in technology and business functions.
• Improve security across cloud, infrastructure, applications and third‑party suppliers.
• Own security policies, standards and governance aligned to ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and GDPR.
• Support major incident and cyber response activities.
• Manage security tooling, budget and strategic investment decisions.
• Represent the organisation externally with industry and public‑sector partners.

Required profile

• Proven cyber security leadership in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of security engineering, operations or architecture.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Background in DevOps/SecOps cultures and modern software delivery.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive a pragmatic security culture.
