Head of Data Platform Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Data Platform Engineering to lead the design, development and evolution of our enterprise data platform. This senior leadership position will operate within a remote‑first model, with occasional travel to our London and Southeast offices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the data platform roadmap across Azure and Snowflake environments.
• Drive delivery of strategic initiatives and day‑to‑day operations.
• Improve engineering standards, DataOps, CI/CD practices and platform cost control.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, quality and governance.
• Partner with senior technology and business stakeholders to align data capabilities with organisational goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading modern data platform engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake, Azure and cloud‑based data environments.
• Background in DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD and engineering best practices.
• Track record of enhancing platform scalability, quality, security and governance.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and build high‑performing teams.
