Head of Development

About the role

The Centre for Social Justice is seeking a proactive Head of Development to lead its fundraising strategy from our Westminster office. You will be responsible for securing new high‑net‑worth donors, nurturing existing relationships, and raising the profile of our research and policy work.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new high‑net‑worth donors and manage the full fundraising cycle.
• Develop multi‑year fundraising strategies for both new and existing donors.
• Write compelling proposals, impact reports and regular donor communications.
• Maintain accurate records of all fundraising activity in the CSJ Salesforce CRM.
• Collaborate with the Development team to meet annual income targets.

Required profile

• Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders.
• Strong interest in social justice and the CSJ’s mission.
• Experience in fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Salesforce (CRM) proficiency.
