Head of Drama – Secondary School (Ealing)

About the role

The school in the London Borough of Ealing is seeking an ambitious Head of Drama to lead its vibrant Drama department from September. This senior teaching role combines classroom delivery across KS3, KS4 and KS5 with strategic leadership of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Drama to students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including A‑Level classes.
• Develop and implement an innovative, inclusive curriculum.
• Lead and coordinate school productions and extra‑curricular activities.
• Manage departmental resources, budgeting and staffing.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive departmental strategy and raise achievement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience desirable.
• Demonstrated classroom excellence and a passion for the performing arts.
• Strong leadership, motivational and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to high academic standards and student development.
