Head of Facilities Management & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to lead Facilities Management and Statutory Compliance across a diverse property portfolio in North London. The Head of Facilities Management & Compliance will provide strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring buildings are safe, efficient and meet all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for hard and soft facilities management services.
• Lead statutory building compliance, overseeing fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas, electrical and health & safety regulations.
• Manage a multi‑disciplinary workforce and external contractors to deliver maintenance, cleaning, security and catering services.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost‑effectiveness and service transformation initiatives.
• Oversee contract and supplier performance, ensuring commercial and compliance objectives are met.
• Collaborate with senior property and asset strategy leaders to align FM services with broader organisational goals.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in facilities management within a property or asset portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory building regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi‑disciplinary teams and external service providers.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
