Head of Faculty – Inclusive Learning (SEND)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified SEND practitioner with leadership experience to become Head of Faculty – Inclusive Learning. In this senior role you will shape the strategic direction and day‑to‑day operation of our specialist provision for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will ensure that every learner receives a personalised, inclusive and aspirational education that leads to positive destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop personalised programmes of study, maintaining consistently high standards.
• Design and deliver a curriculum that meets diverse SEND needs using evidence‑based practice.
• Drive improvements in student progress, engagement and outcomes.
• Support and develop staff through effective leadership, coaching and professional development.
• Build strong partnerships with external agencies, families and other stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, safeguarding and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified SEND practitioner with a proven impact record.
• Leadership experience within SEND or alternative provision.
• Deep understanding of inclusive pedagogy and SEND strategies.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for learners with complex needs.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership abilities.
• Vision, resilience and genuine passion for inclusive education.
