Head of Finance – Education Trust

About the role

We are seeking a strategic finance leader to join a fast‑growing Education Trust. As Head of Finance you will shape the financial direction of the organisation, ensuring robust governance, risk management and accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance department, managing a team of finance professionals.
• Design and implement long‑term financial strategy aligned with the Trust’s growth objectives.
• Provide strategic oversight of all finance matters, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Ensure financial governance, risk management and compliance with statutory accounting requirements.
• Prepare, monitor and report on annual budgets and accounts.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across the Trust to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified with ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA.
• Significant senior finance experience within the education sector or a closely related field.
• Proven leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience managing finance functions in complex, multi‑entity environments.
