Head of Finance – Financial Control & FP&A

About the role

We are partnering with a dynamic, purpose‑driven multi‑site organisation in the leisure and consumer services sector. As Head of Finance – Financial Control & FP&A, you will lead a broad finance function, reporting to the Chief Financial & IT Officer, and combine rigorous financial control with forward‑looking commercial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver accurate, timely monthly management accounts and maintain strong financial controls across revenue, costs, payroll and balance‑sheet items.
• Lead the year‑end audit, act as primary contact for external auditors and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting quality and automation.
• Lead annual budgeting, re‑forecasting, cash‑flow forecasting, financial modelling and scenario planning.
• Provide actionable performance analysis, support long‑term planning, investment decisions and business cases.
• Partner with senior leadership and operational teams, translating financial data into clear insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Lead, develop and inspire the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a multi‑site, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong technical finance expertise with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to influence senior decision‑making and act as a trusted business partner.
