Head of Finance - Group Reporting

About the role

This permanent position sits at the heart of a FTSE‑listed business, leading group reporting and audit activities. The Head of Finance will ensure the integrity of group financials and deliver high‑quality statutory and management reporting in line with IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end consolidation process across the Group, preparing monthly consolidated income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements under IFRS.
• Lead balance‑sheet reconciliation for the UKI team, coordinating finance managers and business partners.
• Drive continual improvements to consolidation and group reporting, including ERP enhancement projects.
• Prepare the group reporting pack and coordinate timely submissions from corporate store teams.
• Oversee the month‑end GL close process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors for half‑year and year‑end audits.
• Produce group cash‑flow and balance‑sheet forecasts and analyse historic cash movements.
• Manage and develop the accounts payable, accounts receivable and property finance teams, ensuring operational efficiency and system improvements.
• Lead direct reports – Group Accounting team, AP manager, AR manager and Property Finance manager – setting objectives and fostering development.

Required profile

• ACA qualified with 5‑7 years post‑qualification experience, ideally from a Top 4 firm.
• Significant experience in a FTSE 250 environment, with strong IFRS knowledge.
• Proven track record of leading large finance teams and managing complex group reporting cycles.
• Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
