Head of Finance

About the role

Our client, a well‑established UK manufacturing business, is seeking a commercially‑minded Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team. You will be responsible for the overall management of the company’s financial operations, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and timely information to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial activities and ensure efficient financial operations.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and statutory reporting.
• Prepare and present management accounts and provide commercial insight to the board.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, VAT and payroll obligations.

Required profile

• Fully qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIM.
• Strong background in management accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards.
• Experience of VAT, payroll and statutory reporting.
• Based near Tunbridge Wells.
