Head of Finance

About the role

Talent Guardian is partnering with a well‑established aviation business to recruit a Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a finance function of six professionals and sit on the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and structure the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all entities, including month‑end, year‑end and statutory processes.
• Own the annual budgeting, forecasting cycles and build robust financial models to support strategic planning and investment appraisal.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and banking relationships, maintaining rolling cash forecasts.
• Provide commercial finance insight, support pricing, contract modelling and profitability analysis, partnering with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, HR and Legal.
• Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Drive finance transformation, reporting automation, data‑quality improvements and reduce reliance on manual processes.

Required profile

• Finance leader with proven strategic capability and operational excellence.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight.
• Experience shaping finance agendas across multi‑entity businesses.

What we offer

• Salary range £100,000 – £120,000 per year plus a 10% bonus.
