Head of Finance – Lead Finance Function in Redruth

About the role

The Head of Finance will own the finance function for a rapidly expanding organisation based near Redruth. Reporting to the Directors, you will provide commercial insight, strengthen financial controls and support the company’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, delivering accurate, timely and commercially focused financial reporting.
• Oversee management accounts, month‑end and year‑end processes, weekly P&L reporting and financial performance analysis.
• Improve divisional, site and customer reporting, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including scenario modelling and analysis.
• Support growth and investment decisions for new sites, major projects and expansion.
• Drive ERP optimisation, automation and integration between finance and operational platforms.
• Maintain strong financial controls across ledgers, payroll, banking, stock, fixed assets, reconciliations and approvals.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, debtor performance and supplier terms.
• Assist operational managers in understanding and improving margin drivers and cost‑to‑serve analysis.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Senior finance leadership experience in a fast‑moving or multi‑site environment.
• Proven capability in management accounts, month‑end/year‑end processes.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management.
• Strong financial analysis and commercial finance expertise.
