Head of Finance Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Finance Operations to lead a team of four finance professionals in our fast‑growing SME based in Brighton. You will drive continuous improvement of transactional finance processes, implement AI‑enabled automation, and maximise the use of NetSuite while ensuring robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a transactional finance team of four.
• Improve finance processes and embed AI tools to automate routine tasks.
• Oversee NetSuite utilisation, configuration, and reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls across all finance operations.
• Support the accounting team with year‑end statutory accounts and reporting.
• Report directly to the Finance Director and contribute to strategic finance initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience managing a transactional finance or finance operations team.
• Demonstrated ability to implement AI tools for process automation.
• Capability to support statutory year‑end accounting activities.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Brighton four days a week (potentially three days after settling).
