Head of Finance – Part-Time (3 days/week)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing creative media business as the Head of Finance on a genuine part‑time basis. Reporting to the Managing Directors, you will provide strategic financial leadership while working three days a week in an office‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring robust governance and strategic insight.
• Review monthly management accounts, board reports and perform financial analysis.
• Strengthen financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision‑making.
• Mentor and develop the existing finance team, creating clear career pathways.
• Oversee statutory accounts, tax compliance and external stakeholder relationships.
• Improve revenue‑cycle management, cash flow and working‑capital performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance systems and reporting processes.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience leading a finance function or serving as Head of Finance/Finance Director.
• Strong commercial awareness combined with excellent technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience producing and reviewing management accounts, budgets and board reports.
• Collaborative leadership style with a track record of mentoring finance teams.
• Confidence engaging directly with senior stakeholders and business owners.
