Head of Finance – Retail Business in Greater Manchester

About the role
We are partnering with a leading retail business in Greater Manchester to appoint a Head of Finance. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will shape the financial direction of the organisation and ensure robust reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, preparing monthly and annual results with commentary and board packs.
- Ensure all statutory accounts and filings are completed in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, HMRC, banks and investors.
- Provide commercial support to the business and the Group CFO.
- Lead and develop a small finance team.
- Drive financial projects and implement effective financial controls.
Required profile
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience.
- Proven track record as a Head of Finance or Finance Director within the retail sector.
- Strong technical, leadership and commercial acumen.
