Head of Finance – Strategic Finance Leader

About the role

This senior, strategic finance position sits at the heart of a large engineering organisation in Crewe. You will partner with executive stakeholders to drive performance, shape strategy and support ongoing growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions.
• Provide clear insight into business performance, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Lead and develop the finance team through a period of change.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience working within a large, complex organisation.
• Proven ability to operate at a strategic level and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial finance and planning background.
• Track record of leading teams and delivering change.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, maintenance or other heavy industries.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (14‑16 months) with a salary of £80,000‑£85,000 per year plus up to 10% bonus.
