Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead the FP&A function for a fast‑growing business based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure the organisation’s financial health, provide strategic insight and support senior decision‑making across the company and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and sustainability initiatives.
• Design, implement and continuously improve financial planning frameworks, performance‑management processes and modelling standards.
• Provide strategic financial advice and challenge to the CFO, executive team and other senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate major investments, business cases, partnerships and organisational change initiatives.
• Deliver high‑quality management information, financial analysis, performance reporting and governance support.
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders, acting as a trusted adviser on financial and resource planning matters.
• Develop and inspire the finance business‑partnering team, fostering a culture of evidence‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• Significant experience in senior financial planning, analysis and business partnering roles.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of influencing strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
