Head of FP&A

About the role

We are supporting a large, complex organisation in Leeds to appoint a Head of FP&A. This senior finance leader will shape strategic decision‑making, drive long‑term planning and guide investment choices as the business undergoes significant growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the FP&A function, delivering strategic financial planning and performance management.
• Own the long‑range financial plan, annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles.
• Develop robust financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Partner with executive and senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Provide commercial insight and challenge to improve performance and resource allocation.
• Support funding, liquidity and capital investment decisions through detailed analysis.
• Produce board‑level reporting, presentations and strategic recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, systems and reporting capabilities.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing finance team, fostering accountability and collaboration.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in a complex organisation, preferably in a senior FP&A or commercial finance role.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior decision‑makers.
