Head of Health and Safety

About the role

Chime Housing is seeking a strategic Head of Health and Safety to lead the organisation-wide health, safety and wellbeing agenda. Reporting to the Director of Assurance and Compliance, you will shape policy, ensure legal compliance and foster a culture of safety across homes, workplaces and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy for the whole organisation.
• Act as the lead competent person and trusted adviser to the Executive Team, Board and senior leaders.
• Provide strategic oversight of health and safety across housing management, repairs, maintenance, development and customer‑facing services.
• Lead investigations of significant incidents, embed lessons learned and drive improvements.
• Oversee wellbeing initiatives and occupational health arrangements to support colleague resilience.
• Design and deliver health and safety training that promotes a proactive safety culture.
• Ensure robust contractor and partner health and safety management arrangements.
• Lead, motivate and develop the Health and Safety team while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
