About the role

As Head of Housekeeping at a Barchester care home you will create warm, homely surroundings that support high-quality care. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff, taking a hands-on approach and ensuring every room and living space meets the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

Lead and motivate the housekeeping team, setting and maintaining high cleaning standards.
Participate in day-to-day cleaning tasks alongside staff.
Ensure all rooms, communal areas and facilities are kept to a pristine condition.
Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and manage inventory.
Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.

Required profile

Previous housekeeping experience in a care home, hospital or hotel environment.
Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.
Willingness to work hands-on alongside staff.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
