Head of HR - Hybrid

About the role

The Head of HR will provide operational leadership for the People Services function, translating strategy into day‑to‑day practice and ensuring high‑quality, compliant HR delivery across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily delivery of People Services, maintaining standards and compliance.
• Manage and develop the People Services team, setting performance targets and coaching staff.
• Oversee complex employee‑relations cases and support Employment Tribunal litigation.
• Direct recruitment, onboarding and safeguarding processes to meet legal requirements.
• Assist with HRIS implementation, GDPR compliance and accurate payroll processing.
• Support organisational change, restructures, TUPE and redundancy programmes.
• Complete the annual self‑assessment for People Services and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in HR operations, recruitment, change management and tribunal casework.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding duties.

• HRIS implementation and optimisation.
