Head of HR

About the role

The Head of HR will join the senior leadership team of a growing, globally‑connected organisation based in Basingstoke. This senior position is responsible for shaping and delivering a commercially aligned people strategy that supports both immediate operational needs and longer‑term business ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward‑looking HR strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on complex people, organisational and cultural matters.
• Drive organisational design, workforce planning and talent strategies to support growth and transformation.
• Oversee employee relations with a pragmatic, commercially balanced approach.
• Support international HR activity, ensuring consistency while respecting local nuances.
• Leverage data and insight to inform decision‑making and continuously improve people outcomes.
• Embed a high‑performance, values‑led culture that enhances engagement, retention and capability.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership or Business Partnering experience, preferably in a global or large‑scale organisation.
• Track record of shaping and delivering HR strategy that drives commercial outcomes.
• Strong expertise in organisational design, talent and change management.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law and ability to manage complex employee‑relations issues.
• Credibility and presence to influence and challenge senior leaders.
• Collaborative, pragmatic approach with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Full CIPD qualification.
