Join the Scottish Football Association as Head of Legal, a pivotal leadership position at the heart of Scottish football. You will serve as the primary legal expert, ensuring that the strategic governance vision is translated into robust legal frameworks, clear regulatory structures, and seamless operational execution.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal interface for the Chief Governance Officer, providing expert interpretation of governance strategies.
• Implement and lead the legal execution of the governance and regulatory vision across all organizational functions.
• Align all legal work and regulatory activities with the strategic objectives and governance priorities of the Scottish FA.
• Provide high-level legal expertise during governance reviews and support the Board of Directors and other corporate bodies.
• Lead the drafting, updating, and legal review of all Scottish FA rules, regulations, and statutes.
• Ensure all regulations are legally sound, enforceable, and reflect international best practices in football governance.
• Advise on the interpretation, application, and enforcement of rules and regulations.
• Oversee the legal infrastructure supporting various Scottish FA bodies and their respective processes.
• Provide comprehensive legal support to all internal departments.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in a senior legal leadership role, preferably within a regulatory or sports governance environment.
• Exceptional ability to translate high-level strategic governance into practical legal processes and contracts.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the Board level.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to manage complex legal infrastructures.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail regarding statutory drafting.
