Head of MSAT – Technology Transfer Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Head of MSAT to lead technology transfer activities into GMP manufacturing within an advanced biopharmaceutical environment. Reporting to the leadership team, you will bridge process development and GMP operations, ensuring robust, scalable processes are transferred and executed safely and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of development processes into GMP manufacturing facilities.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout technology transfer projects.
• Ensure new processes are robust, scalable, and suitable for GMP manufacture.
• Coordinate activities across Process Development, Manufacturing, QA, QC, Bioengineering and external stakeholders.
• Manage day‑to‑day manufacturing support and preparation activities, ensuring safe and on‑schedule production.
• Lead deviation investigations, impact assessments, CAPAs and technical reviews for transferred processes.
• Lead and develop a small operational team of GMP operators and manufacturing support personnel.
• Drive complex multidisciplinary projects, overseeing resource, capacity and equipment planning.
• Engage directly with customers to support process transfer, manufacturing readiness and business development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology transfer and MSAT within GMP‑regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of clinical‑stage bioprocessing and practical GMP manufacturing realities.
• Demonstrated people‑management and team‑leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external customers.
• Experience leading deviation investigations, CAPA activities and technical reviews.
