Head of Operations – Field Marketing & Events

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Head of Operations to run the operational engine behind one of the UK’s fastest‑growing direct‑marketing businesses. You will partner with the CEO to build scalable processes while staying hands‑on with the delivery of pop‑up activations, retail exhibitions and live events across the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end operational frameworks for FMCG and subscription‑brand activations.
• Oversee logistics, warehouse management, contractor compliance (including IR35) and workforce planning for multiple simultaneous events.
• Drive commercial performance by monitoring KPIs, managing budgets and ensuring profit‑share targets are met.
• Lead a dispersed team of event staff, contractors and third‑party suppliers, fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
• Coordinate regular travel to event sites (up to 2 hours from London) and maintain strong relationships with venue partners.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in operations, logistics or field‑marketing environments.
• Track record of scaling high‑growth, fast‑paced businesses.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance cost control and revenue generation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Salary £70,000‑£80,000 DOE plus up to £20,000 performance bonus (OTE £100,000).
