Head of Private Clients

About the role

We are seeking an experienced private‑client insurance professional to lead and grow our High Net Worth proposition across four regional offices in Yorkshire. Based in Leeds, you will shape strategy, drive sustainable growth and ensure an exceptional client experience for affluent customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the firm’s Private Client strategy.
• Expand the High Net Worth portfolio through referrals, introducers and direct client relationships.
• Provide technical expertise and placement solutions to colleagues in four regional offices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure competitive and exclusive terms.
• Identify Private Client opportunities within the existing commercial client base.
• Develop partnerships with professional introducers such as IFAs, accountants, solicitors, estate agents and wealth managers.
• Mentor and develop Private Client team members, promoting best practice.
• Ensure outstanding client service throughout the customer journey.
• Collaborate with marketing to raise brand awareness of the Private Client proposition.
• Monitor market trends and insurer appetite to keep the business competitive.
• Work with senior leadership to achieve agreed growth objectives.

Required profile

• Proven track record in High Net Worth / Private Client insurance.
• Experience managing complex, bespoke insurance programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness and relationship‑driven approach.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Leadership experience, either currently heading a Private Client division or ready to step into a strategic senior role.
