Head of Residential Conveyancing

About the role

This senior leadership position will head the Residential Conveyancing department of a well‑established law firm in Wiltshire. You will have full autonomy to shape the team, drive growth and influence the firm’s strategic direction, with a clear pathway to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a residential conveyancing team.
• Manage a high‑quality caseload covering freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new‑build matters.
• Ensure excellent client care and maintain strong client relationships.
• Drive business development, building relationships with estate agents and other referrers.
• Contribute to the firm’s wider growth strategy and future departmental direction.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with significant residential conveyancing experience.
• Proven leadership ability or senior fee‑earner ready to step into a leadership role.
• Strong commercial awareness and proactive business‑development mindset.
• Ambitious, motivated by progression and partnership aspirations.
