Head of Strategy and Transformation

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Strategy and Transformation to lead the evolution of YouLend’s Operations function over the next 2‑3 years. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will own the strategic roadmap, manage a team of analysts and ensure that operational change is delivered in partnership with Technology and Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve the 2‑3‑year Operations Target Operating Model, including diagnostics, design and delivery roadmap.
• Govern the cross‑functional change portfolio – prioritisation, business case standards, stage‑gating and benefits tracking for technology‑dependent initiatives.
• Translate frontline operational pain points into clear, prioritised requirements and user stories, jointly managing the backlog with product owners.
• Lead the innovation pipeline, identifying and piloting automation solutions such as chat‑bots and workflow automation, and scaling successful pilots.
• Own change adoption for major initiatives, handling stakeholder communication, training and embedding.
• Monitor performance data to assess the impact of the Target Operating Model and report realised benefits.
• Represent the VP of Operations in technology roadmap discussions to secure resources for the change agenda.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading strategy, transformation or portfolio/programme management in an operations environment, preferably within financial services, fintech or a regulated high‑growth business.
• Strong track record of converting business requirements into technology‑delivered outcomes and working closely with engineering or product teams.
• Demonstrated leadership of direct reports and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑structuring abilities.
