Head of Supply Chain

About the role

The Head of Supply Chain will lead the development of a structured, scalable supply‑chain function for a fast‑growing manufacturing business. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will own purchasing, inventory management, supplier performance and international logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an annual material spend of approximately £8‑9 million.
• Improve forecasting, inventory management and stock visibility across the organisation.
• Establish supplier performance measures and robust procurement processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers globally.
• Support sourcing activities in the UK, UAE, Turkey and China.
• Oversee import/export activities, customs documentation and freight operations.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste and support continued growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Head of Supply Chain, Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Manager or Purchasing Manager role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage international sourcing and supply‑chain networks.
• Strong knowledge of import/export processes, customs documentation and freight management.
• Track record of improving planning, forecasting and inventory control.
• Excellent supplier‑management and negotiation capabilities.
• Data‑driven decision‑making and a hands‑on approach.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or related industrial sectors.
