Head of Supply Chain

About the role

The Head of Supply Chain will lead and optimise end‑to‑end supply chain operations for a well‑established food industry organisation. You will integrate S&OP, drive a systems implementation and support the business in achieving best‑in‑class supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the S&OP process to align milk intake, processing capacity and customer demand.
• Align outputs to financial and operational targets.
• Develop and execute the procurement strategy to ensure quality, cost efficiency and supplier reliability.
• Oversee customer service operations to maintain high satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Manage routes to market from a logistics perspective, ensuring cost‑effective delivery.
• Lead multi‑site planning and develop a supply chain strategy aligned with growth and sustainability goals.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing team with clear succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior supply chain role within the FMCG industry.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Expertise in procurement, logistics and overall supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and implement strategic improvements.
• Knowledge of supply chain software and tools.
• Demonstrated success in leading S&OP, improving procurement and optimising logistics.
• A degree or relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics or a related field.
